What is it like to work with you?

From the beginning of our relationship, I’m available for questions, brainstorming, timeline consultations, etc. You’ll know what to expect and when to expect it - when we’ll plan a venue visit, when we’ll go over your family portraits list. As we get closer to the wedding I’m a phone call away, but things will already be set so you can focus on spending time together and enjoying your last few weeks of planning.

On your wedding day, things will feel easy and laid back - you two and your guests will feel comfortable having me around, and when we’re alone just the three of us you’ll be relaxed and enjoying the quiet time together.

A lot of the couples I work with worry about being awkward in front of the camera. For most of the day you’re just not going to have to worry about it. You’ll be moving and smiling and hugging and taking everything in, you’ll be present. During our portrait time we’ll take a long and lazy walk, and I’ll mostly photograph you two and your natural ways of being together. This looks different for absolutely everyone, so I don’t really pose or poke or prod you. We’ll also take a few of those classic wedding portraits, the kind that stand the test of time, and for those I’ll just help you breathe deeply and relax into each other.

Who is your ideal client?

You. It’s you. Are you kind, open-hearted and getting married? You’re my ideal client.

I also want to make it abundantly clear: I am grateful to serve all of my couples, and work hard to do so in a way that is loving, inclusive and self-aware. I am committed to accessibility: please share any needs that you and/or your guests may have, and we’ll work together to meet them.

How much does it cost to work together?

Wedding Day coverage starts at $7500. Weekday Elopements & Dinner Party Weddings start at $3000 (Mon-Thurs). I offer and encourage folks to have their entire Wedding Weekend photographed; this package also includes a complimentary neighborhood engagement session. We can also create a custom package together that fits your needs. Let’s chat!

What about travel?

I keep travel fees at-cost and as minimal as possible. I’ll send you a custom quote that includes all travel costs - no surprises.

What’s included?

Every wedding package within California includes a venue walkthrough so I can familiarize myself with the space, and understand how it spoke to you when you made your decision. This will help me understand the venue as it relates to you two, specifically.

Your photos will be delivered digitally, via customized gallery. Each photo will be available for download in high-resolution and web-resolution, with no limit on the number of downloads. You’ll be able to pass the gallery along to friends and family, who also receive download permission. You may order prints, albums and other fun products through the gallery, but you’re also granted personal use rights and you’re welcome to print through your own lab. This gallery will live online for one year.

Lastly, coffee or cocktails on me. As the planning process gets going, I’d love to meet up again. We’ll chat a bit about anything that has shifted or changed in your plans, but most importantly it’s a way for us to get to know each other better and for you two to feel even more comfortable and psyched about having me around on your wedding day. If you’re not local to California or New York, we’ll find another way to hang.

Do you suggest an engagement session?

Yes! It’s a great way for the three of us to spend time together and for you two to become more comfortable in front of the camera. A few of my packages include a one hour neighborhood session. Most clients treat it as a date night - we can hang in your backyard, take your pup for a walk, or head to your favorite cafe for a drink.

If an engagement session just doesn’t sound like your thing, we can meet for a camera-less hang and just get to know each other a little better.

Do you suggest full Wedding Weekend coverage?

Yes, absolutely. Photographing your intimate dinner or big beach bonfire gives you access to more moments and more memories. It grants me early access to the personalities and nuances of your community, and gives me even more context to bring into your wedding day.

Should we add a second photographer?

I photograph most weddings on my own, but some couples really do benefit from having a second set of eyes. I recommend adding a photographer if your guest count is over 140, if your wedding is particularly design-focused and you’re wanting time dedicated to these details, or if you two are getting ready in wildly different locations and would like both partners photographed. A second photographer is required if you’re waiting until your ceremony to see each other and your wedding has more than 25 guests.

What is your delivery timeline?

Within the first few days of your wedding you’ll receive a sneak peek of 10 of my favorite images from throughout the day. Within 2 months you’ll receive your full collection via your online gallery.

Do you offer wedding albums?

Your wedding is meant to be held in your hands, passed around when loved ones visit and kept within your family long after you leave this earth. I offer collaboratively designed coffee table books - a chunky, modern approach to the wedding album. You may also purchase prints, framed photographs and self-designed classic wedding albums through your gallery.
